This Year I Will Live From My Heart
This past New Years eve I resolved not to make any more resolutions. I resolved to live my best life, day in and day out. To overcome hurdles and tackle projects head on. To eat right and never diet. To make better choices, day in and day out, and not feel guilty for mistakes I make along the way and most importantly to live from my heart.
What do I mean when I say – ‘Live From My Heart’? It may sound like some cheesy, new age expression that really doesn’t mean anything. Well to me, to Live From the Heart means a great deal. It means being true to my emotions, making decisions that I will look back upon and feel good about. Making the ‘right call’ time after time takes practice, do it enough and it becomes habit – that’s what I’m reaching for. To live from the heart means expressing myself to those I love, saying I love you, I’m sorry and I’ll do better. All these things may seem like second nature or obvious choices for some, but not for most guys. I did something I regret over the past month, and later let it go, forgave myself. I was caught in a similar situation a couple weeks later, and made the right choice. It’s interesting how we build on our past, can recover from previous challenges and get stronger along the way!
I’m reminded of a famous quote by Emmet Fox.

The quote is SO powerful and aligns exactly with living from the heart – be who you are, live your best life, practice making the RIGHT choices and when you build on them, time after time – you’re success snowballs and you grow in stature! So today, my goal is to live from my heart.
