The Cooper S scores good marks for safety, tight handling, with good feedback, fit and finish, and great lines, inside and out.

Initially all the toggle switches and knobby knobs were interesting, but we could see how after the initial view, they could turn to be more cutesy. The interior styling is reminiscent of the UK mini that it’s based on.

The Mini Cooper is perfect for the city driver, who goes on the occasional road trip out of town, and loves to zoom about town. The Cooper S is a little firecracker!!

How compact? Friends over 5′11, on long road trips, in the back seat aren’t a great combination. For everyday commuting and the like, you’ll find comfortable seating, even for this 6ft2in driver.
